Budapest, June 6, 2025 <\/em><\/a><\/em>– Effective communication is a cornerstone of smooth collaboration between the tenant and the property manager or operator. Results from a survey conducted among decision-makers of tenants in office buildings managed by ICON highlight an important point: developments alone are not enough \u2013 it is crucial for tenants to be informed about changes and innovations. This creates true partnership between the operator and the tenant. These topics were explored with an ICON expert.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n

More than three-quarters of tenants rated communication with the property manager and operator as above average in an extensive B2B survey conducted by the independent market research institute NRC[1], which was carried out among decision-makers of tenants in office buildings managed by ICON Real Estate Management. According to the respondents, information flow is a crucial area that facilitates effective problem-solving and mutual satisfaction. The key components of effective communication include regularity, the use of live channels, and the opportunity for immediate feedback.<\/p>\n

The survey also revealed that less than half of the tenants are aware of developments in the office buildings. Therefore, it is worth regularly informing them about these developments via email, newsletters, social media, or personal meetings and forums. It is important that property users receive up-to-date information, as this strengthens trust and contributes to the establishment of a long-term, partnership-based relationship with the property manager. The survey also shows a statistical correlation between tenant satisfaction with property management, the perception of developments, and the quality of communication. In other words, satisfaction is, among other things, linked to these aspects.<\/p>\n

When communicating with foreign tenants, it is essential to consider cultural differences. This not only refers to linguistic clarity but also to ensuring that the communication style and format align with different business customs and expectations.<\/p>\n
